In this interview, we learn more about Robyn\u2019s motivation behind her involvement.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: \u00a0What does being named Member of the Year mean to you?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A: <\/strong><\/span>Being named SITE Member of the Year is one of the most meaningful honors of my career. It represents so much more than recognition for service \u2014 it reflects the deep support, love, and strength I\u2019ve discovered within this incredible community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SITE has truly become a second family to me. When my own family experienced a recent tragedy, it was my SITE Southeast family who surrounded us with compassion \u2014 through phone calls, thoughtful gifts, heartfelt visits, and unwavering emotional support. Their kindness was genuine, and their presence was powerful.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award is not just a celebration of what I\u2019ve contributed to SITE, but a testament to everything SITE has given back to me. I\u2019ve always been a behind-the-scenes person \u2014 someone who got things done.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SITE brought me out from the shadows and put me on a stage, somewhere I never thought I would be. Leading the SITE Southeast Chapter \u2014 the 2024 Chapter of the Year \u2014 was such an honor. It showed me that stepping into leadership doesn\u2019t mean stepping away from who you are; it means allowing yourself to grow into something even greater, surrounded by people who believe in you.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: \u00a0What motivates you to stay active and engaged in our community?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A: <\/strong><\/span>My motivation comes from the genuine connections and shared passion that exist within SITE. We\u2019re not just event professionals \u2014 we\u2019re champions of experiences, of each other, and of resilience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The personal relationships I\u2019ve formed with suppliers through SITE have allowed me to do business with people I truly trust \u2014 people I can call on directly to ensure my clients receive the best service possible. My clients are always so impressed when I say, \u201cLet me pick up the phone \u2014 I\u2019ve got just the person for this.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When challenges pop up, my SITE friends have helped me shine with creative, timely solutions that benefit my clients and elevate the experience.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, we adopted the theme \u201cUniquely Different\u201d for SITE Southeast, and it was amazing to see how our chapter embraced that \u2014 not just in the creative, bold, and unexpected themes, d\u00e9cor, and locations we experienced together, but in the way we celebrated the uniqueness in every single person in the room. That spirit is what motivates me to stay engaged. It\u2019s not just about events \u2014 it\u2019s about people.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: \u00a0How has being part of SITE impacted your personal or professional growth?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A: <\/strong><\/span>SITE has shaped me into a stronger leader and a more empathetic professional. It\u2019s challenged me to think globally, collaborate generously, and lead with authenticity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, SITE helped me rediscover my strength when I needed it most. The mentorship, the friendships, and the professional opportunities have all played a role in my growth \u2014 but the human connection is what has left the biggest mark. I\u2019ve grown not only because of what I\u2019ve learned here, but because of who I\u2019ve had by my side.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professionally, it\u2019s allowed me to elevate the level of service I offer my clients by building a trusted network I can call on at a moment\u2019s notice.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q: \u00a0What advice would you give to someone who\u2019s just getting involved with SITE?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A: <\/strong><\/span>Lean in. This isn\u2019t just a network \u2014 it\u2019s a family. Say yes to opportunities, ask questions, show up for others, and don\u2019t be afraid to be yourself. You\u2019ll find mentors, collaborators, and lifelong friends.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when life gets hard \u2014 and it will \u2014 this community will rally around you in ways that words can\u2019t quite capture. Give what you can, when you can, and you\u2019ll be amazed by what you receive in return.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t be afraid to take the stage, even if you\u2019ve always been more comfortable behind the scenes. SITE sees your potential\u2014often before you see it yourself. And in this community, being \u201cuniquely different\u201d isn\u2019t just accepted \u2014 it\u2019s celebrated.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
